Reading Ambassadors

Our Reading Ambassadors are Alma, Evie, Harper, Rocco, Joe and Alyth.
Our Reading Ambassadors are passionate about books and play an important role in creating a whole-school culture and love for reading at St. Michael’s C of E Primary School.
They are enthusiastic reading role models who encourage children to discover the joy, imagination and knowledge that books can bring. They help to make reading an exciting and valued part of everyday school life.
Our Reading Ambassadors:
- Encourage children to read for pleasure and discover new books and authors.
- Recommend books and share their favourite stories with other children.
- Help promote reading across the school through reading activities, challenges and events.
- Support younger children by sharing stories and encouraging them to enjoy books.
- Help celebrate World Book Day, book fairs and other reading events.
- Create displays and share reading recommendations around school.
- Encourage children to explore different genres, authors and types of books.
- Talk to children about what they are reading and help them discover books that interest them.
- Act as positive reading role models, showing that reading can be fun, exciting and something to enjoy in our own time.
Our Reading Ambassadors believe that every child can be a reader. Through their enthusiasm and leadership, they help create a school where books are celebrated, stories are shared and children are encouraged to develop a lifelong love of reading.
Read. Discover. Imagine. Inspire.
Together, we are creating a school where everyone can find a book they love.
