Today, we painted everything rainbow for charity!
Everyone in school (from EYFS to Year 6), including staff, took part in our very first St. Michael’s Colour Run to raise money for St. Cuthbert’s Hospice. The event had to be postponed numerous times due to COVID-19 but the wait was certainly worth it with all children having a fantastic time while raising money for a fantastic local charity. The children each took part in the fun run in their ‘bubbles’ while the whole school came together to cheer each other on. Having the children all come together for the occasion shows the togetherness of the St. Michael’s family even in such difficult times.
We have been amazed at the amount of money the children have raised and it has been greatly appreciated by the hospice. We can’t thank parents, family and friends enough for their generosity for donating and of course the children and staff for participating in the event!
Well done Team St. Michael’s!
