Today was great fun. We all came to school dressed as our favourite story book characters. In nursery we talked in our groups about our characters and why we liked them so much. “I’m Little Red Riding Hood!” said Charlotte. “I’m Willy Wonka! I give chocolate to everyone!” said Charlie.
We drew and painted pictures of our favourite stories and had extra story telling sessions!
We were very brave and joined the rest of the school in the hall for a special assembly. We paraded around the hall and showed off our costumes to the rest of the school.
Our story of the week has been ‘Winnie the Witch!’ so in the afternoon we all made a colourful fruit wand. We threaded fruit onto our skewers carefully, strawberries, raspberries, apples, oranges and pears! We waved them in the air at snack time “Abracadabra!” before making them disappear! They were delicious and very healthy!
