Nissan 2018

On Monday 12th March class 4 had another exciting day out at Nissan for their monozukuri caravan project. During the day we learnt all about design and production element of making a car. The day began with us finding out about Nissan as a company. We watched a short video clip and the Nissan workers answered our questions and shared with us key information. After this, we used Lego to experience what life would be like to work on a production line. We all worked together efficiently to ensure our time was kept to as low as possible. Later in the day, after lunch, we went into part of the factory and saw a robot at work. It was programmed to write Connie and Ollie’s name on a piece of paper. The day was brought to a close with us attempting some of the jobs the Nissan workers complete on a a daily basis. The children had a fantastic day and enjoyed learning about engineering and manufacturing.
