On Thursday 12th January we went on a school trip to the Oriental museum. The theme was fire! We looked at how fire and light are celebrated in other oriental cultures. We acted out the story of Diwali and got dressed up in in traditional Chinese and Japanese clothing. Later in the day we also took part in a Japanese tea ceremony where we looked at the importance of the ceremony to Japanese culture. The day was brought to a close with a tour of the museum.
