To start off the internet safety day Miss Austin and Mr Forrest started with a school assembly. The power point gave an overview on the different methods of access into the internet world and why people use it. The children gave a really valuable rational for the friends and family whom live far away that they can keep in contact with through voice, video and games. The assembly covered the things that we can’t do on the internet like understanding the tone, body language and facial features of others.
These things were covered in greater detail in the classroom environment at an appropriate age-related conversation. These class lead discussions lead the children to find out information on what they need to know brought up by the children. We also covered how to keep out selves safe and who we can go to for help and guidance.
