On Wednesday 25th February, a group of year 5/6 children went to a High 5 netball competition held at Ferry-hill Enterprise College. There was two teams entered into the Sedgefield SSP competition. Each team played 4 games each. Team A (who played in the previous competition) won 2 games with scores of 2-0 and 5-0. Team A then went on to playing there 3rd game and drew 2-2. Team B followed very closely behind winning 1-0 and 2-0. They then moved on to loosing 1-0. Therefore, the last game was a agonising game for St Michaels as both Team A and Team B was to play each other for first place! However, the game finished 0-0 with lots of shots from both teams. Amazingly, Team A had won the competition and is now through to the final held on Tuesday 10th March at Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre. Followed very closely by team B coming 3rd place. A massive congratulations is in place for all the children who attended the High 5 Netball competition and for fetching medals back to school.
