Class 4 Big Bake Day

For the big bake day the class were split in half. Half of the children went with Mrs Bowman and the other half went with Mr Paley to take part in a ‘Great British Bake off’ style competition. We were allowed 90 minutes to create the cakes ready to sell on the afternoon. Mr Paley’s group opted to make batten burgs whereas Mrs Bowman’s group went for a simple chocolate cake mixture. Unfortunately for Mr Paley’s group the Battenberg’s proved too much of a challenge and the children in Mrs Bowman’s group were voted the star bakers.
