We reluctantly ventured into the Stadium of light. Despite it been a poor football stadium it played host to an excellent engineering day. We visited lots of different workshops and learnt about many different types of engineering. There were parts that focused on building bridges, other parts where we learnt how computers were programmed and there was even an area where biological engineering could be observed. We learnt how different medicines were made by mixing different chemicals. It was a great day and it really give the children an insight to what future careers there are in engineering. A child said, “I loved the part where we could learn about VR.” Another explained, “I didn’t know it was so interesting. Basically everywhere you look engineering is going on.”
