The tennis team reached the finals which took place at Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre.
For the first half an hour, the children participated in a number of different skill based activities, from pass the parcel, relay races to hit the bucket. The children enjoyed the skills, even though the girls beat the boys! One of the boys said, “I really enjoyed playing the games, I won 4/5 games.” A girl commented, “I liked doing the skills the best, the girls were champions!”
They then played 5 matches each against St Williams, Sedgefield Hardwick, Coxhoe, Kirk Merrington and Woodham Burn. They played excellent and it paid off because they received a silver medal! A child said, “we are the best team still!” Another one commented, “I enjoyed everything!”
Overall, we are the second best tennis team in the Sedgefield sector!
