Oriental Museum C3

On Thursday 12th January we visited the oriental museum. When we arrived, we acted out the Rama and Sita story before sculpting our own diva lamps. We then looked at the dragon story about fire. Then we created paper lanterns before dinner. A child explained, “We made lanterns for the Chinese dragon to represent the people.” Another child explained how they designed their lantern. “We designed lanterns using the different objects around the museum to it look lovely. We used the colouring pencils to make the lanterns colourful. ” After lunch we looked at Chinese New Year and paraded around the museum with a very long dragon. Then we were quizzed on the symbols of Chinese culture. A child said, “We found out loads of interesting facts. I loved it! ” Overall, we had a great day.
