We had late Christmas action in February during our Candle Mass service at Newcastle Cathedral. We travelled up to Newcastle for a jam packed day of activities from the Children’s Society, which raises money for children less fortunate than ourselves all over the globe. We learned about the meaning of the Christingle and the reasons why the service raises money for children. The service was held by Rev Kate Bottley and she gave a fun and memorable ceremony for the Children’s Society. We hope we are invited back in the future to such a beautiful setting for religious celebration.
