Class 3 Roald Dahl Day 2014

On Roald Dahl day Class 3 came dressed as their favorite characters from one of his books. We had a huge selection of fantastic costumes ranging from Sophie from the BFG to Fantastic Mr. Fox himself. The children stayed in character all day and took on board the tricks and traits of their chosen character. We made chocolates that could have been mistake for a new invention by Mr. Wonka. We chose to put either sherbet or popping candy or even both into our sweets. The children tried very hard to get their chocolates to look professional and make them ready to be sold. Over the week the children created a story board retelling the story of Charlie and the Chocolate factory, designed their own lickable wallpaper and created a product packaging design. They put all of their work into a Roald Dahl memory box that they could also put their sweets in. We had a brilliant day celebrating Roald Dahl and took pride in bringing his books to life.
