On Peace Day we looked at the meaning of the word peace. We realised that peace can take on many forms and for some people, the work undertaken by UNICEF can significantly improve the quality of their lives. Our focus was on peace in sport and how major sporting events, such as the Olympics and the World Cup can unite nations. As part of this, we watched a video of the most recent World Cup opening ceremony and saw Shakira performing the song for the tournament, Waka Waka. Mrs Hume broke the dance moves down for us and pretty soon we were shaking and shimmying all around the hall in unison! We all agreed our favourite dance move was the ‘chicken legs’.
