During the first week of advent, we have been challenging ourselves to open the door for others, being friendly, rekindling old friendships and giving people we don’t always talk to a surprise complement. We found ourselves becoming becoming more friendly as the week went on as we enjoyed challenging ourselves. Being able to make up with people we had fallen out with meant we were able to have a larger friendship group in and out of school.
A child said, “You are a great friend, you always help me and make me laugh.” Another said, “I like it when you do funny things when I am sad.” While another said, “You are always nice to me and make me laugh.”
