The Great Get Together Class 2 – 2017

On Friday 16th June, we got together as a class to celebrate ‘The Great Get Together’. Firstly, we discussed the importance of Jo Cox and her beliefs. We realised she was a very caring and kind person. We also discussed some similarities and differences between people and we came to the realisation that there is a lot more things that we have in common than different.

In pairs, we worked together to come up with 3 things that we have in common with each other. We looked at our likes, appearance, clothing and personality. We had a lot of things to choose from. Next, to show how alike we were we went outside and sat in a circle. One member of the class would ask a yes or no answer. If we answered yes, we would swap seats with another person who also answered yes. We found out a lot about each other.

In the afternoon, we got together in our ‘Intra-School’ sport teams to start our whole school sports competition. Who will win? You will have to wait and find out.

The children said, “We have the same hair colour. We both have blonde hair,” and  “We both have a wobbly tooth.”
