On Thursday 21st September, it is national peace day. Our collective worship was dedicated to help us understand what world peace is and how we can help this.
In class, we read the story ‘Peacekids Adventure’. We were able to spot that all of the characters were from different countries but shall still be shown equal respect. This story showed us what world peace would mean and that us as children could help to create this environment. In order to help promote peace, we created our very own peace log. We used our hand prints for the outline because we are all unique and this is shown by our fingerprints.
We all hope that someday we will achieve World Peace.
A child commented, “Nobody should get hurt if we have peace.” Another said, “All people should be respected.” While someone else said, “Having world peace would mean there is no fighting, killing or terror attacks.”
