Today was national Cyber Bullying Day, so we watched a video and spent part of the afternoon looking at what cyber bullying is and how to prevent it. We learnt cyber bulling is the same as being nasty to someones face, however it is over the internet and it could be a complete stranger. Being nasty online can still hurt peoples feelings! We discussed what we should and should not say to people. Finally, we spoke about what to do if somebody was nasty to us online and decided it was really important to tell a trusted adult straight away.

Here are some quotes from the children:

“The things people were saying to her were really nasty and that made her sad.”

“You should be nice to people all the time.”

“Make sure you tell someone if somebody is being nasty to you.”
