Class 2 Sports Day

On Friday, 29th June, the whole school took part in Sports Day. We had 4 teams that were the red team, blue team, green team and yellow team. Every year took part in sports day with all of our families and friends who came to support us take part.

The first two events that took place were the speed bounce and the howler throw. Year 1 – Year 6 took part in these events and everyone did really well with jumping super quick and throwing the howler really far. Reception and Nursery did the wellie toss and the bean bag carry. They were fantastic at both events. Mrs Vollans told us all the winners of those events. Congratulations to all of our friends who won bronze, silver or gold.

We were then treated to an ice pop during our break. Thank you to the ‘Friends of the School’ for treating us with this refreshing treat in the scorching sun.

Next, everyone took part in a running event – either the sprints or the long distance runs. The people who ran were so fast and ran their socks off! Again, congratulations to all of our friends who won bronze, silver or gold

Finally, it was time for the main event – the parents race. Our female supporters took part in the sprint race. It was really exciting to see them join in too. Next, our male supporters took part in the long distance run. They were so quick!

At the end of the day, Mrs Vollans announced the winners of sports day and the winners were the Green team with Blue team coming second by 1 point and Red and Yellow coming joint third.

We had such a fantastic day! Thank you to Mr Hart and the sports crew for organising it.
