Bulb Planting
We had a great start to the day today as we helped with some gardening in the village!
First of all, we had to get our coats and wellies on as it was a very frosty morning. When we eventually got our wellies on we were ready to go down to the wetlands areas in the village. We walked there with our partners.
When we arrived we were told all about the bulbs we would be planting and how they would wait until the spring to grow into beautiful daffodils! We were all given lots of bulbs to plant in a trench which had been dug. We were careful to remember to place our bulbs in the trench the correct way up. Finally, we had great fun covering them back up with soil and patting it down with our hands and feet. It was a dirty job but we all enjoyed it!
