For E-Safety class 2 read the story of ‘Penguin Pig’ which is about a bear that pretends to be a penguin pig so that people will come and meet him. The children listened to the story and then they discussed how the person would have felt, what was wrong about listening to the ‘Penguin Pig’ and we came up with our own ideas on how to stay safe using our ‘Thinking Hats’.
The children also thought about the different types of social media on the internet and how it can effect peoples lives. We discussed the positives of social media such as connecting with family and friends but we also discussed how social media can lead to bullying. As a class we then created a loving T-Shirt based on writing nice comments about our class photo.
