On Friday 10th November, we helped raise money for ‘Children in Need’ a little earlier than most schools. We were able to come into school dressed up with spots or as Pudsey. This was really fun.
We started the day by trying a new type of colouring in. It was called pointillism. We used dots to create our very own Pudsey Bear. We had to be really careful and gentle with the pencils. We took our time and came up with some beautiful pictures. This was all for the school competition. We were then treated to some cake and hot chocolate. It was delicious!
Next, we had our ‘Remembrance Service’ in the hall where we were joined by the parents. We remembered those people who risked/lost their lives for us in a 2 minutes silence. We also heard a beautiful poem called ‘Flander’s Field’. We sang a song together. The parents were very impressed.
We continued the day by completing our very own talent show. We had lots of talents including dancing, gymnastics, singing and boxing. It was really good to see our class mates’ talent. We then voted for our favourites. These people performed in front of the whole school and the Pupil Parliament voted for our winners.
The winners of all the competitions (sweets in a jar, name the teddy, colouring competition and the raffle) were announced in assembly. There were lots of smiling faces.
We would like to thank all of the pupil parliament for such a fantastic day and we hope we have raised lots of money for those who need it more than us.
We already can’t wait for next year.
