Brief details: I was employed by Evenwood Primary School in January 2015 as Deputy Head Teacher. I was also staff governor at my previous school for a couple of years.
These experiences have enabled me to understand the importance of the role of the governing body in a way that provides challenge and support to the Headteacher and the staff. As a staff governor, I also recognise the need to represent the voice of the staff.
I believe my role as staff governor will also help me to further the drive and ambition I hold, which is to create inspiring learning opportunities and happy memories for all children at Evenwood Primary School.
