As Chair of Governors, I am delighted to welcome you to our school website. St Michael’s is a warm, caring and inclusive school where every child is known, valued and encouraged to flourish. We are proud of our strong Christian ethos, which is rooted in our vision of enabling all to experience “life in all its fullness” (John 10:10).
St. Michaels is an academy school which is part of the One Excellence Multi Academy Trust. There are different levels of governance this link covers more about what the LABs role is. There is also further information on the LAB in this section of the website, in short though we are looking to drive the best possible outcomes for all children at the school.
Governors work closely with school leaders to support and challenge the school, ensuring that every child receives the highest quality education and care. We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing and inspiring environment where children develop academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. We want every child to leave St. Michael’s with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need for the next stage of their education and for life beyond school.
We are incredibly proud of our dedicated staff, enthusiastic pupils and supportive families, whose partnership creates a strong sense of community. Together, we strive to ensure that every child feels a sense of belonging and has the opportunity to achieve their God-given potential.
