Wow! We have had a great day at Bowes Museum. Some of us have never been before and were shocked at the size of the building.
We started the day meeting our leader. We were excited to learn more about Napoleon. We started the day by creating a French flag and we were given a little bit more information about his history. After dinner, we went on a tour of the art gallery following his route across Europe. We were able to retell the story with props and lots of acting.
To finish our day we were invited to watch the famous Silver Swan. We heard lots about how the Swan dates back from 1773 and over the last century has become the icon of The Bowes Museum.
