UN Convention on the Rights of the Child links: Article 28 – You have the right to a good quality education. Article 12 – You have the right to express your opinion freely. Article 14 – Every child has the right to think and believe what they choose and also to practice their religion.
Today, we had a visit from Barnabas.
First, we had a whole school assembly where we learnt that Christian’s believe that God created us as one family. We talked about some of the different Christian countries around the world.
Later in the day, we went to a workshop. We were taken on a journey to an Ethiopian Church and we reenacted the story of Moses. After this, we looked at a range of different Christian objects, discussed their importance and relevance to Christians as well as different countries.
