On Friday 13th November, the whole school took part in fun activities in aid of ‘Children in Need’. In Class 2, all of the children paid £1 and came to school dressed as super heroes and/or Pudsey bear. The children looked fantastic and enjoyed showing off their costumes. The ‘Best Dressed’ prizes went to a Year 1 girl for her Super-girl outfit and to a Year 2 girl for her Spider-girl outfit.
Throughout the day, they children took part in various activities and fun events. All of the children had the opportunity to buy a cake and hot chocolate, which was delicious! They were also able to help to raise money by buying raffle tickets, guessing how many sweets were in a jar and buying Pudsey Bear wristbands, along with other fundraising games.
In the afternoon, we held a talent show and during the auditions we got to see just how talented the children are in Class 2. After the children had voted, we had children from the class to go into the main talent show with the rest of the school. Some of the year 1 children did a brilliant dance to ‘Diamonds in the sky’ and in Year 2 child impressed us with his break dancing!
The children had a discussion about the reason we are raising money for Children in Need and we watched a video. The children agreed that they are all very lucky to be so happy and healthy!
